The Sinister Horror Film Festival is proud to reveal its Official Selection for the highly anticipated 2024 edition. Set to take place in Mexico City, this festival celebrates the chilling allure of horror with an exceptional lineup of talent from 20 countries. This year’s selection includes 9 feature films, 72 short films, 5 music videos, and 35 screenplays, each handpicked for its unique contribution to the genre.

Chosen entries reflect a broad range of horror themes and styles, from psychological suspense to visceral creature tales, and from eerie music videos to thought-provoking screenplays. The festival highlights the work of established and emerging filmmakers, each pushing the boundaries of horror through distinct voices and visions.

This year, the festival will present a total of 33 awards, acknowledging excellence in categories such as directing, cinematography, screenwriting, and sound design. At the heart of these honors lies the prestigious Sinister Award, presented solely to the Best Feature Film and Best Short Film, which recognize the festival’s most outstanding achievements in storytelling and horror cinema.
